HairyKids, The Third

approx 40 cm high
Mixed media, cellular plastic, plaster, acrylic and faux fur

The HairyKids sculptures are a series of enigmatic humanoid figures formed from the depths of imagination, these sculptures are reminiscent of the fleeting glimpses we catch from the corner of our eye, as our brain strives to make sense of what we've seen.

Standing at the size of a smaller dog, presenting a form that is familiar yet not quite like anything we have seen before.

With these sculptures I want to embody the mystery of the unknown. They also draw upon the rich traditions of mythology and folklore, reminding us of the enduring impact of these stories on our collective imagination.
