Passage

approx 30x25 cm
Stoneware clay and brass

This sculpture can be interpreted as a frozen moment when an elbow breaks a water surface during a swim.
On a grander scale, this sculpture could represent an immense underground river, snaking its way through a labyrinthine network of caves and tunnels.

The sculpture is part of an installation where each work reflects on the human body, shifts in scale and thoughts about the body which, on an inflated scale, could be a landscape to explore. An organic material in constant change.
