Vindil

approx 35x25 cm
Stoneware clay and plywood

The stoneware clay sculpture is a depiction of an open, outstretched hand. The hand is positioned in a way that suggests it is reaching out to touch or caress something, perhaps a cheek that is not visible to the viewer.

The sculpture is part of an installation where each work reflects on the human body, shifts in scale and thoughts about the body which, on an inflated scale, could be a landscape to explore. An organic material in constant change.
